Privacy Policy
Mental Health Monarchs (MHM) was built as a space for people who have spent too long being unseen, mishandled, or misread. Privacy is part of how we honor that. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have about it.
We don't sell your data. We don't trade it. We don't share it for advertising. The information you give us is used to do the things you came here to do — read, learn, shop, sign up, reflect, reach out — and nothing more.
What We Collect
Different parts of the site collect different information depending on what you're doing.
Email sign-ups. When you join the MHM mailing list or subscribe to updates, we collect your name and email address. That's it.
Boutique purchases. When you buy something from the shop, we collect the information needed to process and ship your order — name, shipping address, billing address, email, and payment information. Payment processing is handled by secure third-party providers (such as Wix Payments, Stripe, or PayPal, depending on the checkout method). MHM does not store your full payment card information on its own servers.
Contact forms and inquiries. If you reach out through a contact form, intake form, or direct message on the site, we receive whatever information you share — typically your name, email, and the content of your message.
The Concierge and reflective tools. MHM is developing tools that may invite you to share personal reflections, journal entries, responses to prompts, or other content related to your mental and emotional life. When these tools launch, the information you enter will be stored in connection with the account or session you create. You will be told, at the point of use, what is collected and how it is stored. You can choose what to share, what to keep private, and what to delete.
Cohort and program enrollment. When you enroll in a Sovereignty Suite cohort, healing session, or other program, we collect the information needed to register you, communicate with you, and deliver the program — typically name, email, and any intake or onboarding responses you choose to provide.
Automatically collected information. Like most websites, MHM and its hosting platform (Wix Studio) automatically collect some technical information when you visit — such as IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, time spent on the site, and referring sources. This information is used to understand how the site works and how visitors use it. It is not used to identify you personally.
Cookies. This site uses cookies and similar technologies to keep the site functioning, remember preferences, and gather basic analytics. You can adjust cookie settings through your browser at any time. Declining non-essential cookies will not affect your ability to use the core parts of the site.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information you share to:
-
Send the emails, newsletters, and updates you've signed up for
-
Process and ship boutique orders
-
Respond to inquiries and contact form submissions
-
Register and communicate with cohort participants
-
Deliver and improve the Concierge and reflective tools when launched
-
Understand how the site is being used so we can make it better
-
Comply with legal obligations when required
We don't use your information to manipulate you, surveil you, or build a profile of you for advertising. If that ever changes, this policy will change first, and you will be told.
A Note on Health Information
MHM is a digital wellness platform, not a healthcare provider. Information you share through the site — including reflections, journaling, intake responses for coaching cohorts, or anything entered into the Concierge — is not protected health information (PHI) under HIPAA, because MHM is not operating as a covered entity in this context.
It is important to understand that HIPAA protections apply to the clinical therapy work conducted by Jerusalem Brown, LPC, NCC, through Psychology Today and Headway for Alabama residents. They do not extend to information shared on the MHM platform itself.
We treat the information you share with care and discretion, regardless of legal classification. But you should make informed choices about what you share in any digital space, including this one. If you are not comfortable with a piece of information being stored in a database, please do not enter it in a form on this site.
How We Share Information
MHM does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share information only in these limited circumstances:
Service providers. We work with third-party platforms that help the site function — including Wix Studio (hosting), email service providers, payment processors, and shipping carriers. These providers receive only the information they need to do their job, and they are bound by their own privacy and security obligations.
Legal requirements. If we are required by law, court order, or valid legal process to disclose information, we will comply. We will only disclose what is required.
Business changes. If MHM is ever sold, merged, or restructured, your information may be transferred as part of that transition. You will be notified before any change in how your information is handled.
With your permission. Anything outside of the above requires your explicit consent.
How We Protect Your Information
MHM uses Wix Studio's security infrastructure, including SSL encryption for data in transit. Payment information is handled by PCI-compliant third-party processors. Access to backend systems is limited.
No system is perfectly secure. We do our best to protect what you share, and we ask you to do your part — use a strong password where applicable, don't share account access, and reach out if you suspect anything is wrong.
Your Choices and Rights
You have the right to:
-
Access the information we have about you
-
Correct information that is inaccurate
-
Delete your information from our systems, subject to any legal retention requirements
-
Unsubscribe from emails at any time using the link at the bottom of any email
-
Opt out of non-essential cookies through your browser settings
-
Withdraw consent for any optional data collection
To make any of these requests, contact us at contact@mentalhealthmonarchs.org. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR (European Union), the CCPA (California), or other regional privacy laws. Those rights apply in addition to the choices listed here.
Children's Privacy
MHM is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information to the site, please contact us so we can remove it.
Third-Party Links
MHM links to outside resources — books, music, articles, and other creators whose work we admire. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. When you leave MHM, you are subject to the privacy policies of wherever you land.
Updates to This Policy
This policy may be updated as MHM grows and as new tools (like the Concierge) come online. When meaningful changes happen, we will note them at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify subscribers by email.
